A visual investigation of the maintainers behind essential code.
About The People Holding Up the Internet
This interactive story examines the people maintaining 23 open-source dependencies used by phones, browsers and servers. Contribution histories, funding notes and a device explorer make hidden maintenance work visible. Its October 2026 dataset and linked methodology offer builders a concrete way to examine dependency risk.
