SponsorBlock - Block YouTube Sponsors

SponsorBlock is a crowdsourced extension to block sponsor segments of YouTube videos. Users submit when sponsors happen to the extension, and the extension automatically skips sponsors it knows about. It also features an upvote/downvote system.

The conversation revolves around the effectiveness and implications of the SponsorBlock extension for YouTube. One user remarked, "YouTube is not usable without adblocker and annoying without sponsorblock."

Another recurring theme in the discussion is the tension between user preferences and creator revenue. Another user notes, "I always found sponsor segments to be worse than native advertising."
