Filmbox
Really good motion picture film emulation
Filmbox is a software tool used in the film-making industry to give digital images the look and feel of traditional film. It supports Windows, Linux, and macOS. It is designed for high-end film production and can be used within DaVinci Resolve. Filmbox uses empirical data to replicate the aesthetic qualities of photochemical film, including the response to light, detail, grain, and texture. It also allows for modeling the imperfections of real film, such as gate weave and dust. The software is built to be used by cinematographers, directors, and colorists and provides simple parameters for communicating vision. A limited version of the software is available for free for non-commercial use.
